No "Best Friend" for Hayden

Well, we had an interesting experience this past weekend. We wanted to go to the Ute game but figured it would be too cold for the boys. So we asked Sarah and Great Grandma if the boys could come over and play with them during the game. Of course Sarah said yes 'cause she's so sweet and willing to help. Little did she know she was going to have an interesting night. The boys had a great time minus one problem. Hayden is apparently allergic to dogs. He has been around this pug dog before so I'm not sure why this time it affected him but it really did. Sarah gave us a call and luckily we were all ready on our way. This is what I found when I arrived.

I'm not kidding! His little left eye was pretty much a slit. And the face Will Smith is making is what I was feeling inside. I tried not to show Hayden because I didn't want to freak him out. Anyway, we left Grandma Lloyd's house and went straight to Albertson's and got him some Zyrtec. Here are some pics of him after the Zyrtec and the trip home. He already looked so much better. We put him in the bath to try and wash any of the dog off him because he said he was itchy all over. Anyway, I'm not sure what to do now. Do I need to have him tested to make sure that it was the dog and not something else I should know about? I don't know. I guess I'm going to call my pediatrician and see what she says. The good news is he is fine and is back to my handsome none puffy little boy. The next morning he asked me, Mom, are my eyes still puffy? I think he was a little worried. Poor kid.

Halloween

Here are some pics of the boys Halloween costumes. Hayden is Anakin Skywalk (in case you're not a Star Wars fan) and Xander was a spider. These pictures were actually from our ward chili cook-off/trunk or treat. (I won the firestarter award for the hottest chili, New Mexico chili baby.) On Halloween Xander was Yoda (he has lots of hand-me-down costumes) but I forgot my camera when we went to trick or treat with my Aunt so I will have to get some pictures from her because he was a pretty stinkin cute Yoda.

Summer, turning one and zoo babies...

Okay, I've seen people refer to long posts as marathon posts, um, so I'm not really sure what to say this is because it's extra long. So if you cared where I was then take a scroll if not then check back for a shorter post :). Don't worry it's mostly pictures. Starting off with some fun lake pictures. We didn't get to the lake as much this year because of weather and etc. but when we did we had fun.

My little sister moved to NM so we got together and mini golfed for her birthday. We are going to miss her tons.

Brittany and I got tons of help.

I still think these two are so stinkin handsome.

Go Utes. We have fun at the games such cute little Ute fans.

Tyler's dad invited us to go to a Real game. We had so much fun.

Soccer is very serious business.

No really it's fun and cheering and playing around.

There's always more than one way to eat a hotdog.

Thanks Grandpa, we had so much fun.

My little boy turned one!! I really can't believe it. I sure love this little guy. I love the first picture where he has his hands in the cake. His face is like, is she really going to let me do this? ha, ha, ha, He sure got into it though. Pretty funny. I guess it was finger licking good. ;)
Since it was just me and the boys on his actual birthday he got more than one party. That weekend we had a party with grandma and grandpa.
It was fun to see him open presents and of course have help from big brother. He received some fun things, puzzles, clothes, books, toy tractor, hooded towel with his name on it. Thanks everybody.
After opening some presents we went to a cute little pizzaria in Midway. The food was yummy but they didn't really have any dessert. So grandma saved the day and went and got the traditional cupcake. As you can see no disappointment here. :) I'm not sure if he enjoyed eatting it or making a mess more. :)

Opening birthday package from Nana & Papa. He loves his books, cars, treats, etc.

We took a trip to the zoo and it was so fun because it was like a nursery. There are so many babies there right now. Cute, cute, cute.
1. Baby Elephant, Zuri, (check)
2. Baby Giraffe, (check)
3. Baby Colobus Monkey (check)
4. Baby Howler Monkey
5. Baby Siamese Crocodile (saw his tail)
6. Three Baby Amur Tigers (check)
7. Baby Meerkats
8. Baby Snow Leopard (check)
9. Gloden Lion Tamarin Twins (check)Born in May so they were a little bigger.
10. Black-footed Cat (check) He also looked older. Still totally cute.

Even with all this cute stuff when my mom asked Hayden what he saw at the zoo he told her snakes and bugs. When she asked about the baby elephant. He did say oh, she was so cute (in a sweet little voice). ;)

Sorry for the lenghthy post, I was a little behind. he,he, he,
